New York Stock Exchange

Many leisurely afternoons I spent with my granddad, watching the New York Stock Exchange ticker run round and round at the bottom of the television. The initials NYSE, therefore, hold a special nostalgia for me.

When I was young, it was thought I might make a fine broker in the New York Stock Exchange. But when, in college, Finance 101 homework gave me troubling heart palpitations, I kissed that dream goodbye and looked into less stressful courses of study, such as astrophysics and neurology.
